I'm new to reloading , got into it because ammunition got expensive and Scarce but ironically I can't find the bullets. Don't want to start casting my own . Anybody out there know any good sources ? BTW I shoot a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan 44 Mag. Use it as Bear backup.I'm new to reloading , got into it because ammunition got expensive and Scarce but ironically I can't find the bullets. LabmanIf you want some cast bullets here's a link to a great source:
http://www.kingshooters.com/be....html?page=2&sort=2aThey're local for me, but they do ship. They make great cast bullets. Myself and a lot of guys in my gun club have been using these bullets for years.

Alaskan101One more question , ordered some bullets but what about reloading data , should I treat this as generic 240 gr bullets ?

Joe from So. Cal.Bear Creek Supply. Google it. It's all I shoot in my handguns.
One of the few casters who make 305 grainers (all I shoot in my .44's) He also casts 240's and 275'ers. Tumbled in moly. Hard enough to pass the "fingernail test".
He makes occasional trips to deliver to the So. Cal. area and other places, but I try to stop by if I'm ever passing through. Great guy, the best cast bullets I've ever used.

NC Mikebought 240gr. .430 swc's from matt dardas recently
http://www.dardascastbullets.com/took about three weeks for my order to come in but they are really nice, no wrinkles, frost, and well lubed. He also doesn't charge your card until the order ships.
I will use him again in the future

SR4759Cast Performance Bullets are hard enough to penetrate deeply. They are not cheap but I doubt you will shoot that many bears.

ZhurhSign in on SPS if ya like Nosler Bullets. They have seconds & over runs; post every couple days. I got a few thou of .451, .452, & .475 usually 1/2 price. They had some 40 cal on there the other day. I check it out every couple days, end up up ordering some. My supply has really increased since I bookmarked SPS.
