<Fat Bastard>Loading block for .45-70
Does anyone make a loading block with holes big enough for the .45-70? I don't have access to a drill press, otherwise I'd make one out of a 2x4.

<OKShooter>Midway has wood blocks for the 45-70 and other rounds. The 45-70 is their size number 8. These cost about $6 each, but there is no shipping and no tax since you don't live in Missouri.

<Don G>OKshooter,
Glad to see you stopping by. Nice website you have, why don't you put it in your signature?

You don't need a drill press. Drill all the way through 1" stock. Then glue some thin plywood or masonite to the bottom. Makes a flat bottom and the cases stand up straight even though the holes are not perfect.

<Fat Bastard>Just ordered from Midway. For only $6 apiece, it's not worth the hassle to build what would amount to an inferior product.
