69 grain Sierra Gold Match loads for a AR.
I was wondering if anyone knew what powder Federal was using in their 69 gr. Gold Match 223 rounds?

Hello,
I am sure someone out there knows just what powder being used, but normally that sort of data is not public knowledge for a whole host of legal and other reasons. It does not take long to duplicate their load performance if that is what you are trying to do and would suggest you start with the Accuracy load shown in the Sierra loading manual. They have a pretty good idea of what works and what does not and more than likely they are well represented in the "winners circle" at most matches. Give Sierra a call and you will find them most helpfull. Catch them soon, for they will be in Camp Perry in about two weeks.

I'd put my money on RE15. It's what they use in the 308 "match" loads. Jay
