OK...so now I'm out of H870 and had been getting the highest velocities with excellent accuracy with this powder. No I hear that H869 has replaced it and is a touch slower...OK for the 140's. Has anybody used this powder for the 264?...with 120 or 140 gr bullets? Or should I just go back to 4831 or RL22? I have tried VV24N41 and it seems to work well...but not enough experimenting yet.

THANKS.

Re22, IMR 7828, or H1000

I haven't tried US869, but the newest Speer manual, #14, has loads using the 140 gr. Speer Spitzer SP bullet. Ramshot Magnum is another powder to try in 140's.

+1 for IMR7828. RE22 was very erratic in my .264 -- S40

I like IMR7828 with 120's. I don't use 140's.

I ran out of 7828 and am trying RL-25. Fired ten rounds last week and the powder fouling is terrible! Worst I have ever seen. I have scrubbed it a bunch with a tight brush and I still don't have it all out. I don't know what that is all about?
