DannoBoone85gr Nosler Ballistic Tip in .25-06?
Is anyone here using the 85gr Nosler Ballistic Tip in your .25-06? If so, how deep are you seating
them, and what does your OAL turn out to be? What powder/grains gives your best accuracy?
My rifle is the 112 in the VLP model (no longer made). It is very accurate with 75gr V-Max bullets
but can't find any, and a couple guys with other calibers said they get their best accuracy with
lighter bullets with Nosler Ballistic Tips. Thanks!

Lamartheir oal won't matter in your rifle the jump to the lands in your rifle will be different.
my 25-06 does it's best work with the 120 gr hornady h-point.
it's a hunting bullet btw but holds under 1-1/2" easily at 300 yds at just a hair over 3k chronoed and rl-19 powder.
my other one liked the same load but seated 5 thou deeper.

DannoBooneThanks, Lamar. I'm just trying to get an idea on the starting point I should try. These 85gr BT's
are a lot longer and a MUCH longer bearing surface
than the 75gr V-max's it likes.
