Rogue6Allaints web site list the loads you want. I'm guessing it will be a little slow for 165's but fine for the 180's and up.

sakofanAs well as I liked RL25 in my .300RUM, I cant get it to group in my .300 Winnie with 180gr. bullets or anything else for that matter...sakofan....Good luck.
Buck:
I tried it and it did so/so. I agree with Rogue 6 that you are going to find it sort of too slow to get good velocity out of a 165 grain. I would consider it even borderline on the 180s.
I'd drop to RL 19 before going to RL 25.
RL 25 or H1000 in a 300 Win Mag, with a 220 grain, gave me a very accurate screaming machine. I used a load I saw in an older Loading manual but it did fine! Velocity with the 220 was at 2975. I couldn't get it to break 3,000 fps, but hey, what little difference would that make. It sure made a 'clang' that everyone on the shooting line noticed when it hit the 300 yd gong.
Load was 83 grains of H 1000 and a Federal Large Rifle primer. ( not a mag primer.) I also used 83 to 85 grains of RL 25 with that. ( can't rremember exactly as I don't shoot the 300 mag that often.) Work up though, ( oh you are from BC) EH?
Cheers and Good shooting

LongshotBob Hagel's favorite load in a .300 Win Mag was 78.5 grains of H4831 with a Federal 210 primer and a 180 grain Nosler Partition (3150 fps from 24 inch barrel). I have found this to be a great load (less than 1/2 MOA) using Nosler balistic tips for targets and varmits. I like to 180 grain Swift Scirocco for Whitetails and black bears. I think it would work fine for elk and moose too. Work your loads up as I found this load to show presure signs on a friends rifle before reaching the aformentioned loads.
Good luck

oneillsReloader 22 is THE powder for the 300win, but if unavailable try IMR4831 or H4831SC (good Aussie made powder).

ruttinbuckI did'nt have much luck with the IMR4831.I have 1.25-1.3" groups using IMR7828,I am fine tuning to see if I can get tighter.I just wanted to see if the RL22 would make any difference.
