7mm STW Sierra 150 grn. Matchking IMR 7828
Looking for some info? Looks like starting loads of around 75 working up to 79, Sierra 150 grn matchking, IMR 7828, 215 CCI large magnum primers, Remington once fired brass? None of my books list the 7MM STW so will ease into this one. Looking for the fastest/accurate load.

Gun is a Savage 112 FVSS 26" SS heavy varmint barrel.

Hey Harold,

Let us know how it shoots. It is a sweet looking rig! I got my 7 STW out today with the 140 gr. MRX's and AccuBonds. Both shot .75" with RL-22, Rem brass, and WLRM primers.

Good Hunting,

Bob

I haven't shot 150's yet but I did an experiment with my Sako AV in 7 mag that I had rechambered to 7STW to see what the difference would be between my Mod 70 7STW w/26" bbl and the AV with it's 24 3/8" bbl.
My chronograph showed identical speeds thru both rifles with the same load, 140 Accubond, 82 gr. 7828, Winchester brass, F215 primers, 3530 fps. Actually speeds out of the Sako were 3528,3554,3526,3524fps. Accuracy was great in both rifles shooting well under MOA. I want to take my Sako sheep hunting in August but the damn thing weighs 9 lbs, 2oz. and McMillan stocks are a 4 mo. wait. Oh well.
