How many Powders are in the cabinet?

rnoviHow many Powders are in the cabinet?
I opened up the cabinet today to do a bit of reloading and just for giggles I thought I'd take a quick inventory of powders in the cabinet.
I had 15 different powders. 15.
Pistol:
HP38, 2400, H110, Unique
Rifle:
IMR 4129, IMR 3031, IMR 4831, H4350, H4831sc, H4895, RL19, RL22, RL25, Hunter and TAC.
So, how many powders do you have on hand?
Regards,
Robert

StonecreekI've probably got a couple of dozen, but there are three or four with which I do most of my reloading.
02 December 2012, 08:27
ramrod340Way too many.
Probaly 12-15 for rifle alone and 99% of my loads are probably done with 4-5 powders.
As usual just my $.02

enfieldsparesIMR-4350 that I use and nearly empty. Trail Boss that I use but about half full still.
2400 and Bullseye that I was given FOC from the effects of a now deceased re-loader.
Vihtavouri N-150 that I used to use in 303 when I couldn't get Vihtavouri N140 and finally some European SP7 that is like black sand. The Ramshot powders are probably USA equivalent.
I am very much a "one powder fits all" re-loader and having worked up good an accurate loads with RE-22 and trying to do the same with the slightly faster IMR-4350.
I only re-load in 6mm Remington, 270 Winchester, 280 Remington and for my Winchester 94 in 44 Magnum.

Sometimes I wonder if I got what I really need, but figure someday the kids or grandkids will shoot the stuff off if I never get through it all; and yet I will continue to buy more.

MickinColoI have 23 different powders in the cabinet. Out of those, 5 of them were manufactured by Dupont (shows how often I use them). Out of all those powders everyone has, what are “your go to powders”, the ones you buy in canister?

Toss in AA 2230 and 2460 to cover my 223 and my rilfes are pretty much covered.

Good grief - enough to supply an army.

Anyway, yup!! A tad on the cool side over here in the Tanana Valley. Been about -30 or so since around Turkey Day. Been about -40 for the last 4-5 days. No let up in sight. Need a storm down in the gulf to warm things up a might. Oh well. Helps keep the riff-raff out of the area - specially the wimmen. If they don't like it, then daddy ain't gonna be happy.

Have a lot of "honey-do's" to complete come breakup so my time at the range may be a bit limited. Oh well, I'm pretty well set for next season but would like to mess with the WSm a bit more.
Anyway, take care for now & Merry Christmas. Don't go freezin' yer buns.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread.

AA 2230 has become a powder of great interest in the 223's I own or load for.

DivernhunterMy answer is less than the max legal limit and I am sticking with that. That would be # of different powders and total amount of powder.
I am not sticking around if the place catches fire.
