Newer Speer Book load data request
I have an older Speer book from the days when they copper crusher tested loads. The load I am interested in is the 243winchester and 85gr BTSP with H4350. The old book has it as 46gr which is stiff compared to Hodgdon and others.
I would be grateful if someone could look at the latest Speer book and tell me the current load for this bullet and H4350 (and MV/barrel length)

85 gr Spitz-BT (Speer number 1213)
H4350 46.0 gr at 3235 fpsH4350 42.0 gr at 2914 fps
C.O.L.: 2.625 inches
Test Firearm: Ruger M77 MkII
Barrel length: 22 inches
Case: W-W
Primer: CCI 200 (used with loads listed above)
Note from the .243 Winchester page in manual:
"These loads do not exceed the industry maximum pressure of 52,000 cup."
Speer manual
#12< !--color--> shows the exact same data for this powder and bullet. I doubt if Speer retested the load for manual
#13< !--color-->. My guess is that they just republished the manual
#12< !--color--> data (for this particular powder and bullet).
I hope this is helpful....

ricciardelliIt ain't Speer, but:
H-4350 From 34.5 grains to 46.0 grains
Remington 9-1/2 Primer
Gents,
Many thanks. 46gr gives me 3,300fps from 22" and maybe the faintest hint of the start of a crater in cool temps. 45.5gr is 3,250fps, accurate and no pressure signs.
