anybody use them? got a line on some 200 30 cal Accubonds cheap for the RUM.

Nosler seconds are all I ever shoot for handgun silhouette competition. I have shot some of the highest aggregate scores in the world the past three years with them. I also use seconds for all of my hunting.
They work great.

Ssssshhh. Don't tell everyone; they are already out of several of the partitions I use.

Seriously, I have never been able to find a blemish on those I have used and they perform flawlessly.

Anyone here been able to find a blemish on their seconds?

My roommate can look at them and say exactly what the problem was, but then he runs the machines that make them.
Very occasionally I can spot something but it's never a big deal.

I happily shoot them when available.

Some (but few) will have cosmetic blemishes, typically a slightly dull or mottled appearance to the jacket compared with the normally brilliant sheen of "first" Noslers.

Some will show minor variations in the exposed lead at the nose, or perhaps an ocassional "blip" on the nose of a Ballistic Tip.

Many are simply overruns from lots produced for commercial loaders. Most of these will have a cannelure that is absent on regular production bullets.

And . . . I am thoroughly convinced that some are simply "firsts" that are either in seasonal oversupply or are sold as seconds simply to tap into the discount market.

At any rate, I've never been disappointed by any Nosler "seconds" that I've used.

Where are you guys finding these? I don't see 'em on Midway's site.

I bought a bunch of .338 & 7mm & they shoot every bit as accurate as the boxed variety. A great bargain, just wish they had more of them.

I've had BT's and Accubonds with the 'wrong'--not same as firsts--color polymer tip on them, and also some that appeared as if they were once moly or perhaps lubalox coated and then stripped--kind of dirty looking--but ALL of them shot great.

I don't think many more folks need to know about these............for Noslers sake

Been using Nosler seconds for several years now, and I agree with Fish, no need to advertise. shootersproshop is a gem.

Worked great for me as well. I found a few flaws, but they were only cosmetic...nothing that would ever cause their downrange performance to suffer. The bad stuff, they cull. These are seconds, NOT culls from what I have seen. The sort of cosmetic stuff I saw was tarnished jackets, etc...like when someone with sweaty fingers picks a bullet up and later on you see fingerprints...that kind of stuff. They shoot just fine.

The only thing I've noticed with them is the weights tend to vary a little more than a box of frist's.Also have found a few lenght differences a couple of times when compared to first's,although minor.

I think you will like them.

the game can't tell the difference between first's and seconds, so i've been told by the elk.

ELK LIE and deer are worse. Can't trust them, not one bit. It's better to eat them than to talk to them. They are indeed smooth talkers but much more tasty on a plate.
