jrslateFavorite 7mm Rem Mag Load?
Mine is a 175gr Nosler Partition with 63gr Re22 and a Fed 215 primer....nearly 3000 fps
Don't try this in your gun without working up to it...This load has worked on Deer, Kudu, Eland, Zebra, Wildebeest, and lots of other stuff...
Anyone have any 195 gr loads?

<Bill>I like the 160 aframe in front of 66.0 RL22 and the 175 Hornandy in front of 62.6 RL22.

fredj338When it was a 7RM, my #1 liked 64gr RL22 under a 160gr NP. Most primers worked fine, I favor the Fed. LRmag match.
Now it is a 7mm Dakota & it still likes the 160gr NP over 72gr RL22 for just under 3300fps from it's 26" bbl.

TomPHello
I am fond of IMR 7828 with 140 grain Noslers ( whichever is best suited to the day's shooting ). CCI benchrest primers seem to light this well enough, and the accuracy is good.

jrslateThanks for the help everyone. I really enjoy shooting my 7mm Rem Mag, even though the new thing is to trash it. It is a great round that has proven itself around the world. Still looking for a 195 gr load...

R FlowersJoel: You got some good responses here, it seems that RL 22 or IMR 7828 usually works about the best in a 7mm Rem Mag. Some rifles REALLY prefer one over the other, though.
Loads for the 195 grain bullets are readily available in the Barnes Reloading Manual Number 2. I have some of these bullets, but have not shot any. They are certainly LONG.
Barnes lists these as MAXIMUMS for the 195 grain Original bullet. (Which has a SD of .345 and a BC of .570)
62 grains of H 4831 2689 fps
65 grains of H 1000 2620 fps
75 grains of H 870 2698 fps
59 grains of IMR 4831 2643 fps
61 grains of IMR 7828 2591 fps
58 grains of RL 22 2682 fps
These loads were developed in a 7mm Rem Mag with a 24 inch barrel, using Remington cases and Remington 9 1/2 primers.
Hope this helps.

<AKI>jrslate. If you can find it, try Vihtavuori N560. This is the only powder that really makes a "magnum" of my 7mmRM. With other its NO "mag" only "numb". FWIW AKI

KuduKingRL-22 was worked great in every 7mm RM I've tried (2 Browning, 1 Remington, 1 Weatherby). Here's my loads, all with RL-22 and WLRM primer:
63.0 gr, Hornady 175 SP
65.0 gr, Speer 160 Grande Salami
66.0 gr Hornady 162 BTSP
