Ed Scarboro100gr Barnes TSX for 25-06
Does anyone have a good load for 100gr TSX's in 25-06? What OAL are you using and how far off the lands?

30378I shot them with 53gr of IMR-4350 with excellent results. Neck sized Winchester brass, Fed 210m primers, and an OAL of 3.24". Hope this helps.

R FlowersMy favorite 25-06 load using the 100 grain Barnes TSX uses Remington cases, Fed 210 primers, and 54 grains of IMR 4831.
The velocity is a little over 3300 fps and the groups are 3/4 inch.
My OAL is 3.16 inches. This puts the 100 grain TSX 0.077 inches off the lands. I think Barnes TSX bullets shoot best when given a big jump to the lands.
Even factory Federal ammo loaded with the 100 Barnes TSX (that has an OAL of 3.067 inches) shoots 3/4 inch groups in my rifle.

Ed ScarboroR Flowers... I have a new Encore barrel in 25-06 and I seated a 100gr TSX in a fired case and chambered it. It touched the lands at an OAL of 3.180 so I seated test loads at 3.130 OAL. I started at 52gr of IMR4831 which is what I have used with 100gr Swift A_Frames. My go to load in my other Encore in 25-06 has been 55gr of RL22 with 100gr Sierra Pro Hunters.
I have had others tell me to seat .030 off the lands but a tech at Barnes told me to try .050 off the lands to start. Thanks
