I have used the x-die for 5 years for my 22-250. I trimmed them once and have not had to trim them again. I'm no expert reloader but I like them and they seem to work for me. I thought they were discontinued about a year ago?

I sold a gentleman a set of RCBS X Dies for his .243 Win last week. My supplier lists the X die or an X die set in a number of popular calibers including many of the new short cals.

i am interested in reloading for a 6.5x55 and wonder if anyone has used the rcbs "x" dies which claim to prevent case lengthening
i intend shooting only for hunting and wonder if i could get away without case trimming without a huge detrimental effect on accuracy
are there any advantages/disadvantages to the x dies??

I have been using them for several years, and I just wish I had an Xdie in all my calibers...They have worked for me to perfection..I trim to start with then set them and never have had to trim again, and thats better than advertised....

I used a xdie for my 308.
It does hold the oal fairly good.
I noticed a slight buldge at the neck sholder junction.
Only because i turned the necks to tru them up.

Only disadvantage i see is...they aint reddings . While the RCBS is supposed to be a "quality" die, why compromise? Buy the reddings and never look back.
