Who cares? The antis are going to refer to anything designed since the metallic cartridge as an "assault weapon." I see recently the M1911A1 .45 Auto has become an "assault pistol". Sounds to me like too many people have begun to act like the Victorians - inventing a pleasantry to replace an unnacceptable concept - one "passed away", rather than "died". Ladies had "limbs", but not "legs". Women were "in a family way", rather than "pregnant", etc. etc.
