7x65R - Dies and brass??
Im intending to buy a drilling chambered for the 7x65R and will of course handload for it...
What Im wondering is if the dies for a 7x64 could be used (with a different shell holder) just like you can use 7x57 dies to a 7x57R?
I also would like to know if anyone here have had any experience with 7x65R brass / cartridges from Sellier & Bellot and the if it is usable for reloading?

Thanks

Yes, you can use the 7X64mm dies to load 7X65R cases, and the RCBS No. 26 shellholder is the correct one for the rimmed case. I make 8X60RS cases from RWS 7X65R brass, and get mine from The Old Western Scrounger, http://www.snowcrest.net/oldwest/.

I've also bought Norma 7x65R brass from Huntington's.

Thanks!
I thought it might be possible but wasnt sure. Im off next weekend to test fire a drilling in 7x65R and if its all right Im gone be the proud owner of a Sauer & Sohn caliber 16/7x65R made in 1965 (West German). The guy whos selling it is running a real candy store if you are interested in old guns! I expect to spend some time there just looking and keep my hands way off my wallet!!!
Cheers
