krakyI've played with it a bit in 300 win, 300 wby, and 30-378. It never gave me magically accurate loads but then again was not bad either. I just decided to go back to my fav powders in those calibers. I did find it to be a bit slower than their data....but it may have just been that lot of powder. I remember in 300 win mag their max load was about 100 fps slower than other powders in the gun. I wound up almost 3 grains higher than their load to match the speed of re22 and h1000 with no pressure signs.

rick243I use Magnum for 140 gr bullets in my .264 WM with excellent results. IMR 7828ssc works better for the 120 gr. bullets.
I am currently working up loads using Magnum with 140 and 150 gr bullets in a friends 270 WSM.
In both rifles the CHE and velocity increases are very linear as the powder charge is increased and accuracy has been great.

Bear in FairbanksI can only guess regarding the .270 Win. and have no experience with the 7 WSM. I'd say that Magnum is too slow for the .270. It's slower than Retumbo and IMR-7828 which I've used in my .270 WSM with 150 gr bullets. My .270 Win. load is a 150 gr. Partition with 57 gr. of Rldr-22 and I get ~ 2930 fps. I have played with 130 gr. Barnes bullets in the .270 WSM but the only powder I've tried there is Rldr-19. which seems to work pretty good. I'd say your powders are too slow for the .270 Win.
