More WCC846 loads
.243 68gr berger hp, Wlrm, FC. cases 40gr.Wcc846,OAL= 2.700. mild& sooty,A lot of Kaabooom.50 yds. First 3, fouling shot included 3/4" group. 8 shot 3/8" group. 3240 to 3314 fps.

Same 40.5gr.Wcc846. mild& sooty, 3 shot 1/4 ' group,10 shot 1/2" group3228 to 3476fps bewildered (big spread)

same 41gr. WCC846. less dirt not max. a lot of Kaaboooom, 3388 to 3535 fps. 10 shot 1/2" group again at 50 yds.there was an error in the velocity figures

same 58gr. V Max. HornadyOal=2.636" a little soot, seems mild, 3929 to 4006 fps. 10 shot 3/4" group.

same45gr WCC846, Oal=2.660" sooty necks, 3848 to 3906 fps. 10 shot 1" group last three in same hole. claproger

boohoo Although some nice repeatability can be obtained with WCC846 it's got to be the second dirtiest powder only bested by 7383. I'm still getting the residue out of the barrel.

Is WCC846 the powder used in WCC ammo used by the military? Please clue me in.

I tried wc846 too in my .243

Rem brass, 70 grain bullet, 41 of wc846 and win mag primers.

I had a big spread too

3410 fps to 3550 fps 3550 blown prime.

maybe I will have to try wc846 with some 55 grainer.

jason check my edited figure in the first post. My velocity figures are now much closer to yours. Frowner I copied the wrong velocities roger
