If you don't have one of these, for $4.75 you should. This little tool will tell you how long your chamber is. SO, you'll exactly how much room you have to work with for overall case length. I use this handy little thing and on factory rifles you'll be amazed to find that by trimming your brass to SAAMI specs your wasting time and shortening your brass life. Most factory chambers are on the long side, and you'll find you won't need to trim as often.
