hunter20ga.44 mag load using the Nosler 300 gr. JHP?
Is anyone using the Nosler 300 gr. JHP (#42069) in a .44 mag load?
I've got a hundred...and they are beautifully made...but none of my references gives a load for this bullet. The cannelure is so high (about a tenth of an inch further from the base than a 300 grain Sierra JFP (#8630) that I don't see the two bullets as interchangeable in loads.
TIA

300winnieI load them for bear protection in the Wyoming wilderness. I am using H110, one grain below max charge in the Nosler #4 manual. I am at work right now, but I will check back later and if you do not have an answer I will look it up and get back to you. Don't hold me to it, but it rings in my head that it is 20 grains of H110.

hunter20gaThanks, 300winnie...I'd appreciate it if you look that up. I really don't want to spend the $40 for Nosler's manual for just one load. I will if I have to...heaven only knows I've spent enough money to choke a horse on reloading in the past month!
