tsturmPresure caculation (guestumation) help???
Any w.a.g. pressure estimates on a 30-06 W/ 168gTTSX, 52.0g Varget, fed 215M,@ 2912fps?
Good groups, 45" drop@500yds (measured) no pressure warning signs.
Thanks for any help in advance.

Since flat primers, ejector marks and other "pressure signs" usually occure around 70-75K psi I would suspect your are under that as a fair W.A.G.

SR4759Based on your velocity your cases will not last long before you get loose primer pockets.
You velocity is about the same as produced by a max load of IMR4350 which is about 58 grains.
4350 is a much slower powder.
I don't think you can cheat Sir Isaac Newton.

FjoldHodgdon says 50.5 grains of Varget with a 168 grain bullet will get you 2859 fps at 49,200 CUP

Antelope SniperQuick load predicts about 65k PSI.
SAAMI spec is a max of 60k in the 30.06, which QL predicts around 50.5gr of Varget.
