What powder and bullet do you use for this caliber.

What is your intended use?

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Snow Wolve.
Anything up to Elk mostly WT-deer. I know this caliber is a bit overkill on deer.
Thanks you.

I would use either the 286 gr Partition's or the Woodleigh's.
286 Priva's are good for practice as well as the 270 gr Speers. Speers might make a good deer bullet but I have never used them except for practice.
IMR 4831, RL 15, 4350 are some good powders to start with.

Thank you very much Snowwolf. I aggree with the Patition and the Speer. I bought a box of Norma factory 282gr Orix bullets made by the Swede for Moose.

Hornady also has a very good 282gr what looks like a pointed Interlock?

If you want to go for a lighter bullet, try Norma's 232 grain Vulcan, also Nosler manufactured a Ballistic Tip in 250 grain which shoots well, it is also out ot production but substituted with a new design in the same weight class.
