Heavy Bullets in the .32-20
I'd like to try a 180gr bullet in my Husqvarna Model 25 chambered in 32-20. Chamber pressures must be under 20K psi and I want it to leave the 28" barrel reliably. What do you think of:

- 2.5 grs of Trail Boss; or
- 4.0 grs of Unique; or
- 9.0 grs of H4227

Andy, which bullet were you thinking of using?
If I run the numbers with quick load, using (.312, 180, H&N RN HS max.1500fps), I find that your estimates of powder are over max limits.

If you can give me dimensions of the bullet you plan to use I can run some simulations

Thanks for the reply. I'll be using a cast custom Spire Point that's gas-checked. It's 1.050" long and sized to 0.314" (the bore slugs to 0.313"). I'd be happy with much slower muzzle velocities than 1500 fps. I'd appreciate max loads for those listed powders, but I have many other powders as well.
