19 grains of 4198 and 50 grain bullets, the only load you will ever need.

Right powder (4198) and right weight bullets (50 gr.), but I use 20.0 grains of it.



21.4 grs of Re-7 is also a very dependable load. Saw a fellow at the range last Sunday shooting groups in the .2's and .3's at 100 yards with this charge from a new, unaltered, un-tuned Rem M700 standard weight sporter, using out-of-the-box new brass...not even trimmed for length or primer pockets deburred.

NOTE - Have been checking my reloading books, just for the heck of it. WHAT I FOUND MAY BE IMPORTANT TO ANYONE READING THIS POST. Although my rifle happily accepts 21.4 grs. RE-7 with 50 gr. bullets, THAT IS ABOUT 1.5 GRAINS OVER LISTED MAXIMUM IN MOST BOOKS. CONSIDER IT DANGEROUS IN YOUR RIFLE AND DON'T USE IT UNLESS YOU HAVE CAREFULLY WORKED UP TO IT. Even then, you're on your own if you elect to shoot it in your gun.

Vihta N133 is a very recommendable powder, for both 50 and 55 grain bullets.

19.6gr 4198 and a 52gr HP shoots like nobody's business.

19 or 20 grs. of 4198, depending on bullet weight is the old standby.

H-322 has won many a benchrest competition..

H335 give you hyper velocity and is very accurate..I use it mostly in my 222 Rem and 222 clip sako....I load the 60 gr. Hornady for deer and it has worked like a charm for all my kids and grandkids...
