I wish I had an old Krag carbine, Id order a few hundred of those and run amuck the Owhyee desert...Always loved those of smooth as silk actions..Shot one deer off hand when I was a kid on the Medley ranch between Valentine and Ft. Davis..It was spine shot on a huge buck and that 220 gr. Peters ammo blew a huge hole in him. As he hit the ground one of our paying hunters, a thousand yards away yelled up on a rimrock yelled " I got'em, I got'em" Dad looked at me and said, keep your mouth shut and go shoot another one..That pissed me off, but I knew better than to argue about it.
