Imperial die wax

I have a some questions about using Imp. die wax for case lube when resizing.
1.)What is the best method to apply die wax to cases besides using bare fingers?
2.)Can you use die wax inside case necks?
3.)Will die wax residue affect (harm) rifle powder, and if removal is necessary how is the best way to remove?

I have read some great things about this stuff on this site and have finally got me some to try. Any help and tips regarding the use of this product will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and thanks to all that post on this site, as I really get alot of help here and learn alot from this forum.

1.The suggested application is using the fingers.
2. I use it inside necks to keep the dies from getting sticky on the expander.
3. There is no need to clean it out won't hurt a thing.

This is why the guys use it no fuss more than you can say for most of the lubes.

1) Rub a "Pea" size chunk into the palms of your hands. Roll 4-5 cases at a time between your palms, and place in your loading block.

2) Scrape your palm lightly with the mouth of (approx) 1 in 4 cases. Residule(sp) lube on the expander will take care of the rest.

3) Won't hurt a thing to leave it on the cases after loading.

I use a little on my fingers (hardly enough to see) and use it to lube 4-5 cases before I need another little bit. I use a little inside the case necks and tumble the cases in media to remove the lube. For straight wall cases, I don't use any inside the neck of the case and use a cloth to remove excess lube.

I use a standard RCBS lube pad.
I just reb a little on the pad and replace it as necessary.
On one corner of the pad I rub a little in and just lightly press the neck down on it after I pick the case up off the pad.

I just use it on my fingers to lube the case body and then "scrape" the case neck across my finger to get a little bit in the case neck. After I resize and decap them I run them in the brass cleaner for an hour and they come out clean.

captjordan,I just started using the hornady unique lube this past summer,pretty good stuff and don't have to use much either.

I'm looking forward to it........I've been using chainsaw chain lube for the last 20 years, it works, but it's a pain in the arse to get off the cases......very thick. I wish I'd have switched over years ago to the real deal lube.

You'll find imperial has a cult following. In the cult ,most users use their fingers to apply the imperial. Personally,I can't see an ounce of differance in any of the manufacturers. I also can't see applying the shit by hand when a lube block works so much better with less mess.

I put a bit on the ram of my press and it works a lot smoother. Also applied a bit to the clamp on chainsaw sharpener and got a smoother operation.

I only use the imperial when I am neck turning. I use it on the inside and the outside of the neck. I remove it from the outside with a rag, and the inside of the neck with a q tip. I also use a q tip to apply it to the inside of the neck. For FL sizing I use Lyman spray lube. Not as messy as other methods and it is quick.
