416TanzanAlliant Reloder-16 powder -- has any one seen any?
Alliant has advertised a new powder, Reloder 16. It is supposed to be a "4350 equivalent" with very high temperature stability.
Has anyone tried this or even seen it on a shelf?

snowmanI seen it advertised but have not seen any powder on the shelf. There is a few loads listed for it on the alliant website. I was curious if it was going to be between RL 15 and RL17 or closer to RL 17 but more temperature stable as RL22 and RL23 . RL 25 and RL 26 are also very close in burning speeds but RL 26 is supposed to be more temp stable. I believe the older RL22 and RL 25 were made in Sweden while the newer powders are made in Switzerland. All Alliant powder has been hard to find the last while.

416TanzanThanks. Yes, I've seen loading page at Alliant
From the suggested loads it appears that Rel-16 is just about equal to IMR4350, but over a wide temperature range.

ZekeShikarCan you find IMR powders?
I've seen the new IMR Enduron powders on the shelves.
IMR 4451 is temp insensitive and right smack on 4350 burn rates.
I've used the IMR 7977 (slower burn rate) in 3 different cartridges with stellar results!

snowmanThe new IMR powders have been on the shelves here for several months. I recently picked up some 7977 to try in a 7mm Rem.
