Hi all, I'm new to the site. I'm an avid shooter (competitive smallbore since '68) and the past few years, I've focused on pistols & military centerfire rifles. I've recently retired and finally broke out the old reloading presses from Dad. I added a Dillon too so I can volume reload for the handguns. Intro done and now my problem / question. I've got a fair number of 38 special & 357 mag casings. The 357 ones are scratched up from the die (I've since replaced it but the damage is done). I am curious if I can / should use them . Any comments or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

put them in the yumbler and make them bright and shinny and the guys at the range won't even notice. roger

IF the scratch's are too deep you're afraid of them. Load a light charge plinker load and leave them lay at the range. Nah, wouldn't do that. Step on them after fired and toss in the scrap bucket for sale as scrap brass at a buck a pound. I've gotten over $40 a bucket for such junk. I don't throw any brass away. Fact is, I pick up known junk cases just for that purpose of filling my bucket quicker.

Welcome to the retirement side. It ain't all you've been promised! Less money, less time, more honey do's, more things you want to do. Just keeps right on getting deeper and less time. Wish you well for a long enjoyable retirement.
