vapodogField report....Northfork 6.5 (X 55) 120 grain HP
This nice buck was shot quartering toward me and the bullet entered the central chest cavity on the left side and exited after passing through the lungs.etc.
The total travel of the bullet was about 15 inches. It hit a rib entering and left a large hole but still left a ping pong size hole exiting the right side. There was no recovery of the bullet because of the exit.
The deer ran about 100 feet and piled up and left a striking blood trail after about 50 feet.
While any bullet would have sent this buck to the taxidermist as it was hit at about 100 yards, I'd rate the bullet performance as "everything one could expect.
