Just a FYI for example the 6PPC Sako is different than the 6PPC. Hence the reamer question. Sometimes there is more to a question that what is obvious.

What Boss Hoss says is true. Can you use your existing 6ppc die with a change in neck bushings?

I have been reloading both th 22 and 6mm PPC for over 20 years and if you have not purchased them yet I would suggest NOT using the typical die set that is used in a reloading press.

It might take a bit longer to reload,(very little actually) using the hand held dies made by L. E. Wilson but they are worth the price if you're looking for maximum accuracy. They only neck size, but will produce as close to zero bullet runout as you can get. Plus, you can bring them along when you go to the range and if you decide to cook up a couple of new loads to try, you'll have them ready to fire in a matter of minutes.

Thanks guys!Found out the barrel is being chambered for the US 22 PPC so placed the order for a redding die set. This will not be a competition rifle. roger

now you get to start looking for brass. sometimes you can find some 6 ppc reasonable (whatever that is) otherwise i ended up buying some remmy 762x39 shooting it up and necking it down task

That sounds doable but sad. Last year I sold a large quantity of unprimed 7.62x39 brass to some one.Oh well! It's all in the game. roger

Bartsche, Norma occasionally makes .22 PPC brass, if you are lucky you might locate some. Bruno's, Graf's and (perhaps surprisingly) Cabela's are often good places to check.

Depending on the chamber, you *might* be able to use Lapua .220 Russian for direct fireforming. Be aware though, that some .22 PPC USA chambers have too narrow a neck to use unturned .220 Russian. Of course, you can always turn the excellent Lapua brass (which is normally widely available due to its application in BR), or quite a few shops will do the neck turning for you - for a fee.

QUICK, Cabela's seems to have some Norma .22 PPC brass in stock!! Bruno's seems to be out, and Graf's does not even list the caliber...

Get it while you can, you don't know when it will become available again...
