V-Max and Blitz Kings shot better than Ballistic-Tips. I think I'm going to further develop the V-Max's. They sit closer to the rifling.

I shot 3-shot groups because this was my first attempt and I didn't wanna have a bunch of useless ammo if it didn't work. But it did work. The best group was a little over a quarter inch and the worst a bit over five eights (100 yards).

I shot all these rounds in rapid succession without allowing the barrel to cool. My best groups were shot from a hot barrel. But the barrel, while hot, wasn't all that hot. And it didn't foul all that much either.

The 12 grain charges were a bit light, I think. The cases came out sooted. The 15 grain loads seemed too hot. The expansion ring near the case head was very pronounced. While I never fealt the bolt stick, I'm going to say that 15 grains is max. I think that 12.5-14 grains is about right for this combo.

The POI was identical to full-power loads. I did not have to adjust the scope at all.

Who needs a 22 Hornet? Really!
