michael.txIs there a good way to clean a powder measure?
Anyone know a trick to removing the little bit of powder stuck with static in a powder measure? H110 and Titegroup are the worst about it for me.

model7LSSdont know of any other way to get the powder out other than manual removal, but have heard from several sources that rubbing a dryer sheet on the cylinder will remove some of the static charge.....

MarkI don't really have a problem with powder sticking, but it may be due to being over a concrete floor.
For static related issues, lots of things work- dryer sheets, damp washcloths, or the most convenient is to buy or steal from the linen closet a furniture spray like pledge that advertises "anti static" and wipe stuff down with that.
For cleaning up that pesky ball powder especially, canned air is great. I have an air compressor but be careful with that route as you can clean everything off the bench whether you want to or not.
for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

michael.txI'll try a dryer sheet, I tryed canned air earlier, and got a face full of h110

Gotta watch the throttle on that.

ted thornI shoot a shot of air from my compressor....works great. If you dont have one buy a can of air at your local computer store.

GerryYeah, I'm a Procter & Gamble retiree - everything that works good in a Dryer full of clothes to reduce cling; works the same with all sorts of reloading equipment.
Wash your bits & pices in a Dishawasher with standard fare detergent and then wipe off with anti-static pads/wipes. Works 100% with metal or synthetic.

Watch the temperature in the dishwasher. Some plastics will warp, especially during the drying cycle.

airgun1I have an RCBS Uniflo powder measure and never had issues with static cling on it, but have had static issues with various powder funnels and wiped them with a dryer sheet and they lost the static cling. I would not hesitate to wipe my Uniflo if it ever developed staic cling.

R D McMillanWash the plastic measure body, funnel etc. in hot water with a generous amount of soap added. Drain, allow to dry without rinsing,---no more static cling!
