Nosler Partition production to end? Or just BS?
Heard a rumour on a British shooting forum that Nosler was stopping Partition production. Starting with .30 calibre then the other calibres to follow.

Was prompted by a US member who visited a local, USA, gun shop and the dealer told hi to "stock up".

Said man then said the Nosler had confirmed that this was so?

Truth or rumour?

I think that it is BS. Canceling their ballistic tip in non varmint calibers now that they have the accubond, that I could believe.

Apparently, your sources got the Nosler Partition confused with Hostess Twinkies, which really are now out-of-production.

I just got off the phone with Lorrie at Nosler. Apparently someone forgot to tell them? Why would you quit making the foundation product that made your company?

This is the email I just got from Nosler.

I just received a message that you heard some news about the Partition bullet being discontinued. I wanted to let you know that is completely false. The Partition is still one of the most popular hunting bullets that Nosler manufactures and it will always maintain a strong presence in the Nosler bullet lineup.

I hope this clears things up and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Here's the original posting on the UK Forum that I belong to:
"So I sent the Mrs to a gunshop in the States whilst she was/is visiting, and whilst she was getting me some 30cal 180g Nosler Partitions the owner stated - "Oh he's lucky to get them now, Nosler is stopping production of the Partition to focus on the Accubond".

I used the on-website contact form on Nosler's website to ask and received, 28 Nov., this short and straight to the point reply:
"That is totally false. The Partition is here to stay".

I've asked the OP on the British forum if he can name and shame the gunshop so that it can be passed on to Nosler.

I would say it is more like a misunderstanding, than anything else. They dealer was probably told they were ending up a run of Partions, and were going to switch over to Accubond production.
That is why sometimes our favorite bullets are hard to get, as they make runs of different diameters, styles of bullets, as even a large factory like Nosler, can not keep all of their different skus in production, all at the same time.

Yes, the Partitions will be with us for years to come, but what are we going to do about the lack of Twinkies?

They stopped production of the Partition Gold a few years back.

It was a regular partition on steroids. A sad day indeed. CRYBABY
