KSTEPHENS.375 cast loads
I am thinking about loading up some cast lead gas checked bullets in my 376 steyr. something around 250 gr @ 2300 FPS.
i have never messed with cast lead exept in 45-70's.
who makes .375 caliber (do i need .376-.378) hard cast bullets? how fast can i push them w/o them leading the BBL?
any help would be appreciated.

475/480castperformance.com has .376-.377 cast bullets, with the right lube/bullet fit- you can get 2400 fps with no leading.

Paul BI cast my own using an RCBS #37-250-FN mold. I have two of these molds, one casting .376" bullets and the other casting .379" bullets. Accuracy was best from the .379" bullet. I use 49.0 gr. of IMR-4895, Winchester brass and WLR primer. I estimate the velocity to right around 2000-2100 FPS. Accuracy from my Ruger #1H is right at 1.25" average. Recoil is about like a stiff 30-06 load.

In trying 292,296,306 gr. gas checked .375 cal. bullets the repeatability seemed to fall off around 2000ft./sec.
The best accuracy was between 1500 and 1600fps.These were all donner bullets so I have no info of make up or hardness.
