Average life of 470 NE brass
I have some Norma brass that has been fired 3 times and it appears to be in good shape. I was curious of what the useful life of this brass is at a full 108 grns load.

The average man's love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty; and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies.

Rifle is a Double, full length resize, full hunting loads. I don't see any case issues after the 3rd firing. So I will try one more and take another hard look at them.

How about stretching of the overall length of the case?? I had some hot loads stretch my 45-100 cases .006-.008". Decided this must be too hot, but do 470 cases stretch? 4 reloads, and I was seeing a fracture mark starting like 3/8" in front of the base.

I've not used Norma in the 470, but have reloaded Jamison brass in 470 as many as 8 times with full loads, and they are still going.

Here's one I sectioned one recently and could find no evidence of thinning anywhere. That's by no means conclusive, but it has been loaded 8 times.

Usually, I hunt with once-fired brass and use the others for practice loads.
