Length of GS FP @ North Fork CP

Can anyone tell me the weights available and length of 375 caliber GS flat points and North Fork Cone Point bullets as I did not find them in their web sites

GSC offers a 270gr FN for 375H&H and 375 Win and a 300gr FN for 375 and 378 Weatherby. The 270gr FN is 31mm (1.22") long and the 300gr FN is 34mm (1.34") long. The 300gr bullet for the 375 Weatherby is an either/or compromise and I would rather use the 270gr FN. The full FN listing is here. The bullet numbers work like this: First three numbers = caliber. Next three numbers = weight in grains. Two letters = bullet type. Last three numbers = our part number.

Thanks Gerard for the post. I was looking for a bullet for my 376 STeyr with 23" barrel 1-12 twist to use on Buffalo. Last safari I used 270 grain Swift A-Frame. Killed a big Eland at about 165 yards. One shot complete pass through DRT. Planning to return in 09 and will take only the 376 as I am taking the PH a rifle. You suggested in a previous post to use your 250 HV for plains game and I think I will Is the 270 FP the right bullet for Buffalo in my 376 Steyr?

The 250gr HV is designed with the 376 Steyr in mind. I would use it on Cape Buff as well and reserve the 270gr FN for going away and follow up shots or, if your PH is more comfortable with solids for the situation. Email me for load data when you are ready. Enjoy your hunt and don't worry about the bullets any more, there are other stuff to take care of.
