wasbeemanI haven't any info but is that a bullet for the '06 or is it something for one of the boomers. Reason I'm asking is it might not open up well at the perhaps 2100fps you'd be getting.

Yentna RiverIn 2006 Woodleigh came out with this bullet to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the 30-06. I believe it was designed for the 30-06.

Yentna RiverM98,
Do you remember your starting load with RL22? That would get me started. I'm waiting on a reply from Woodleigh but they haven't gotten back with me yet.

It appears from Woodleigh's website that the 30-06 was the intendend cart. for the 240 gr. .308 bullet

500NEffectively the same as a 318 WR and this kills Buffalo well (250gn bullet).

Yentna RiverDid a search on AR and found load data from Woodleigh that BFaucet had posted a while back. Looks like good stuff, 2350fps. I'll Load and test this week and if the groups and velocities are good I'll use them on bears this spring. Been using my 375WBY the last 5 or 6 years so I thought I would take the old girl (30-06) out for a walk in the woods this spring. Had these 240s on the shelf for a while and thought I should put them to good use.
thanks for the replies guys,

Not sure you need high velocity, the bullet weight packs a punch and pushed through plus
they have a lot of lead showing which opens up well.
Have fun.
