I was wondering if i could get a starting point and a max load for the 308win using IMR4064 and a Nosler 125gr ballistic tip? The Nosler manual doesn't show 4064 for this bullet. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Matt.

start with 47grs and look for max around 50grs. i use the 125gr BT for coyotes tunnel pigs but i gave up on 4064 across the board years ago, way to dirty, these days i use Varget in it's place

While I like IMR 4064 very much it's hard to get enough in a 308 even with 150 gr bullets. I would try IMR 3031.

Does the 3031 meter better than the 4064? I'll tell you the 4064 is far from water through the meter. I have a hard time throwing a consistant load through the uniflow. It easily can vary .5 grains.
Matt.

IMR 3031 is only a little better thru the measure than 4064. They are both long stick powders.

I go way back to when the IMR powders along with Hi-Vel were the only game in town so I tend to recommend them. I measure and then weigh all rifle loads.

There are more and more short grained and ball powders. I am suggesting what I know will perform but it's true they don't measure all that well.
