I'd recommend 125 gr. Nosler BTs with 53-58 grs. of Varget (see Nosler reloading manual).

220GR RN's should do the job nicely! Wink I use a 130 to 150gr on yotes with my 1903A3 to help get closer to the rifling speed/bullet weight design of the rifle.
Thats when I m not shooting my own cast bullets Wink

Sierra 110 gr.HP's are surprisingly accurate and at around 3200 fps will really blow up a prairie dog.

you can pump a 110 grain up to 3500 fps...

the 125 Speer TNT is also a great bullet if you want to explode a varmint or two..at say 3300 fps...

Hey Dennis, A buddy and I went to a Gun Show up in Greensborough, NC and he spotted some generic 110gr RN 30cal bullets on a table. I feel sure they were intended for a 30Carbine, but he was thinking about using them for Ground Hogs in WVA. He thought about it for awhile and got some for $4/100(a long time ago).

He found a load for them in one of his Manuals for use in his 30-06 using (maybe) IMR-4064. About the 3rd or 4th Load they tightened right up into a nice small group. They had to jump a long way to reach the Lands, but they worked fine in his Blue & Wood 30-06 Howa. And they Killed a lot of G-Hogs.

Best of luck to you.
