Well said, Ken, was among the best gunwriters and one whose knowledge I greatly respected.

A "gentleman of the old school" and his death is a real loss to us all.

Ken was one of the best. He approached guns and loads with logic and good sense. I always enjoyed his writing. Thanks for posting to let us know of his passing.

I own the original loose leaf version plus a few years back I bought a bound 2 book set just to have.

Ken Waters did a lot to chronical the history of reloading.

Sad to hear that. A true pioneer of load development for hunting rifles. I got his Pet Loads about 22 years ago & it helped me a lot in developing loads for a few cartridges. My only issue was that I did not find any loads for the 280 Ack Imp!

Incredible info on the 6.5X54 MS, the 358 Win, 7mm08 when it was a wildcat and many more.

Very sad to hear this.

Ken was my friend, and we had many hours of talking about hunting and shooting.

I have all his pet loads.

Sad to hear. He was a gentleman and very knowledgeable guy. We corresponded some back when that was done with paper and pen, he always had time to answer. He'll be missed. - dan

Happy and sad at the same time...happy he's now in the happy hunting ground enjoying all his favorite things...sad we lost such an indescribable, prolific producer of information I loved and learned on.

Every time I read of the passing of one of the "older generation of non-digital gun scribes" it reminds me of my own place in time.

He will be sorely missed.

Can't remember how many times I read his Pet Loads Volume 1&2. Learned so much through his works. Will be missed by the reloading community.Rest in peace
