Any one shooting a 30-40 Krag Improved. I am thinking about putting one together in an Encore barrel. Any information is helpful. I am also giving consideration to my main bullet being a cast bullet. Thanks, Tom.

I'm shooting regular 30-40 Krag.

The thing I would have in mind is to get the chamber close to minimum spec for the basediameter. I have only tried Remington cases so far but their caselife is short if you have a largish chamber.

thats one i've never had, but it sure looks like a hellova round.

If you are really looking at using cast as your "main bullet" you do not need the improved version of the 30-40.
