I just bought me an AR15 and plan to reload for it. I've been looking around for .223 bullets

I found these at Berry's website and wanted your opinions, especially if you've used them.

I have not used them..however I've mostly had poor results from FMJs in regards to accuracy.

These things might be terrific.....but I'd not buy 1,000 to find out.

Sounds like cheap pinking ammo. One thing to keep in mind, if you want to hunt, check out the laws in your state. You may not be able to use FMJ's to hunt with.

I asked them about there bullets and to see if they will be making anything in larger cal.'s. The smallest rifle I reload for is a 6.5mm and they said they will not be expanding to larger cal.'s thumbdown

I shot a 223/5.56x45 when I was in the army. I also had friends who did not come back after putting a hole mag a guy. His poor family got a sandwich bag not a pine box. So it became a personal choice not to own a 223rem. I be leave I posted something about that in another thread. I will look for it and copy and past or link you over.

I used one while serving as a Ranger in Nam ! Some of the time we didn't get a whole mag out before jamming

Then some times people were hit while sleeping ! , I to lost fellow soldiers and friends !!.

We then got better rifles and the results were the same without jamming problems , I still shoot Black Rifles

today , Got BETTER BULLETS NOW !. CANNELURED bullets aren't the best accuracy bullet in my book .

Nor do I hunt with one ( Varmints small predators yes ) but I also use proper bullet weight and design

Then again it depends on what YOUR doing with YOUR Weapon doesn't it !!!. Eeker

True, a 223 for a 150+ man, no for a 1lbs hole digging prarry dog, just fine. Coyotes? Well I have seem them run for a before bleading out. So I d call a 50lbs the limit. Otherwise you better be a damn good shot to take a dear, damn good shot.
