Steel jacketed bullets?
I have a bunch of steel jacketed, copper plated 147gr FMJ bullets given to me by a friend. I want to load them in .308 cases to be fired from my L1A1 using varget powder but don't know what charge to use. Can I use data for a conventional bullet?

A lot of us use "solids" for our African rifles with steel jackets plated with "copper". Usually we get similar ballistics to conventional bullets with a grain or two less. I would just use the starting load in any reloading book for 150gr. bullets and work up.

I have not find any differences between Nato Bullets out of steel and others out of Tombak from the point of pressure.
