Has anyone here tried this bullet? If so, what were
your results? Did you need to seat them to/into the
lands for accuracy?

I would be particularly interested in hearing from
anyone using them in a 7mm WSM cartridge as well.
Thanks!

I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm about to find out. I'll be ordering some of those 140 grain bullets today to test.
I've been wondering the same thing as you.

Good luck, DMB. I already have some and have been
attempting to find what has worked for others. The
recommended trials from Berger didn't work for me
with the 168 VLD's. The best depth was to the lands
with those bullets. Was hoping to hear more results
for the 140's.....guess I'll begin at the lands
and see what happens with RL22 and MagPro.

For me, the 7mm 140s have worked best just barely off the lands. Here is a report filed last year on this bullet:

7MM in Begrer's VLD is a very popular long distance bullet. You will find many F class shooters using this in either the ".284 straight" or several wildcats based on this caliber.
As far as setting into the lans that is based entierely on your rifle. Many of the custom rifles with tight chambers are designed for going into the lans. On the otherhand even those in the target arena not turning necks have set the bullet in the lans. However, as you work up your load and do some testing of powder charges you will lean quickly if setting in the lans or off works best by your groups.
