Wadcutters ?
I have RCBS dies for my 44, I will be loading some full wadcutters, my die only has a seater for SWC ? Will that deform my bullets or can I get one for that ?

Is it safe to let for a 58 year old man run around in the woods unsupervised with a high powered rifle?

Actually, if you crimp in a separate step, you should be fine until you get another seating plug.

Take the seating plug out and fill with candle wax .
That lasts several thousand rnds .
To remove just heat the seating plug and clean.

Did your seating die come with 2 seating plugs? The flat/solid one is for (semi)wadcutters and flat point bullets, the coned one for round nose and some hollowpoints.

The flat one should work fine, even if it doesn't contact the entire front of the bullet. I have several HP bullets that is works with better than the coned one as well.

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Why don't you seat using the expander die?

The bottom of the expander plug is flat.
