<robv60>Accuracy: 38's in a .357
Anyone noticed significant differences in accuracy when shooting 38 special rounds in a .357 revolver? I hadheard/read that 38's generally "shoot" better since the 38's arent able to produce as much recoil/muzzle flip because of the heavier frame of the .357. Any comments?

<stans>It depends on the revolver. Some 357's are extremely accurate with 38's, some are not. You won't know until you try.

p dog shooterIn the old days when most police use revolvers it was very common to use .38's in the 357. They normaly shoot very well I would say the expection wouldn't shoot well.
The real accurate nuts would have their 38 cly shorted to wadcutter length seems to give them the edge.

Hot CoreHey robv60, I agree with the above two posters, you just have to try them.
I just reload 148gr 38Spl level loads in my 357Mag cases and that does real well too. I'll shoot 4-5 cylinders full and then run one cylinder full of jacketed ammo through it to help push any Lead out. Works great.
