Does anyone think that Match Primers are that much better?

Do you think that the same primers change from lot to lot?

Does anyone else dislike the Federal Primer packaging?

It appears to me that primers behave differently depending on powder-case-and rifle.

I just tried them and got surprised. I was using CCI 250's with .8" groups at 100 yards. I decided on trying Fed 215M Match primers. I couldn't get any load to work near as good.

My accurate load before was 94g of H1000 with the CCI 250. The most accurate I could get with the high dollar primers was 92.5g and over 1".

In a word, NO!! My most accurate loads to date have used plain,ol' Federal 210's and also a primer called the SACMAG, which was produced by a company that once sold mostly shotgun reloading components, I believe named the Sullivan Arms Corporation (could be wrong about the name). These were very good primers!!

the primers are all the same it's just the guy/gal who puts the compound in the cups should be the best at their job not the person who got hired last week.
i find i have less fliers when i use Fed. match or CCI BR

Maybe. My problem has been so far that the match version of the primer I tried was different enough to have to go through another complete powder / seating depth workup. By the time you throw in that many variables, who knows?

Whatever difference there is, it is drowned in the noise of my shooting skills. FWIW, Dutch.
