Loads for .260 Rem using Nosler 120 gr BTs?
Has anyone developed a load for the 260 Rem using Nosler 120 gr ballistic tips that will safely exceed 3000 fps with A 24" barrel?

I shot the 120 BT at 3,025 from a 26 inch barrel. This load was over max in my books but shot extremely well and had no pressure signs at all. Work up very slow if you attempt this. 41 grains of IMR 4064.
That load was my bread and butter and worked well enough to bag ground hogs at 500 yards.
If you only have a 24 inch, I doubt you could make 3,000fps but it could be possible with the right powder.

Yes, try Vit. N550 powder. I have not seen the load published, so I'll tell you it loads a little faster than IMR 4350. Use Remington primer. Work up slow. Should get 3000 with good uniformity. I get 3050fps with great accuracy.

I have a 15" T/C encore pistol with a long throat so the OAL is 2.900" (.020" off the lands). I found the most accurate load 49 grains H4350. I am guessing the pressure to be 62-65000 psi. Yes its hot. Chronographed at 2700 fps with 120gr nosler ballistic tips. I would expect about 3000-3100 out of a 24" barrel. You would likely have to remove 1-2 grains of powder if you don't have a long throat.
H4350 extreme is a great powder. It provides stability in temperature extremes. Very consistent velocities and the best accuracy in my rifles of this cartridge size.(most accurate in my 25-06 also)
