Demolyfying bullets
My local sporting goods store is having a blowout on partition gold moly bullets. Is there a way to take the moly coating off? Is there some solution that will disolve it? I don't want get moly laid down in my barrel.
Info would be much appreciated.

I have 'de-molyed' bullets by just tumbling them like I do my brass.

You know I think Moly is one of those things that becomes inbedded in metal with friction. It may appear to be off. But in the those nooks and small fractions, its there. how good is this sale? Wouldn't mind to pick up a box of 180gr .308.

To this same question eons ago, someone suggested washing in a strong detergent, like Tide, and then tumbling in media.
