I totaly agree with VD, and when you are ready to come back you won't be out much by just leaving it there.

Stonecreek????
For what purpose? Surely you don't intend to chronograph your hunting loads after you get there? If it is to leave as a gift, then space and weight considerations (as well as cost) are important. The little Chrony may not be the very best machine available, but it is reasonably servicable and beats not having a chronograph. It is also simple, fairly damage-resistant, and easy to set up and use. I would recommend least expensive and most basic of the Chrony line, whatever they currently call it.

Bryan ChickYes, I intend to check my hunting loadfs! You see, I live on St. Thomas where we are prohibited from having hunting rifles, although we have the second highest murder rate of any territory or state under the U.S.flag; therefore, I have to leave my rifles in Dallas, then pick them up enroute and ther is never the time necessary to spend much time at the range. How do I find the units mentioned?
