22PPC Norma cases vs. resized FC and nny cases
popcornThe conversion of FC, 7.62x39 cases to 22PPC, cases went relatively easy. The performance difference as far as repeatability was nil. Pressure was higher per powder load in the FC cases ( large pimer) as it's capacity is some what less than the Norma cases ( small primer). Max loads ,whatever, definitely are not the same. The conversion was economically sound.

The conversion of the nny (Prvi) cases was super laborious. Most of this was caused by quick changing tappered wall thickness near the junction of neck to shoulder. Neck turning alone did not eliviate this problem. One of the final steps after neck turning and length trim was to remove the ID donut. thumbdown This was further exaserbated by the FL forming die not quite getting down far enough. Bushings did most of the sizeing. Forming the nny cases is poor economics in my book.

dancingA little side note: Fired the little darling today testing mainly the 34g HP Mid South Varmint Nite Mares and was totaly, pleasantly surprised. At 3800 fps. it was small group magic at 50 to 300 yds. May be 2 or 3 small distance flyers in 50 rounds and that well could have been me. flameroger beer
